# MobileCLI Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MobileCLI ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the MobileCLI application ("the App", "the Service").

## 1. Information We Collect

### 1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- **Email address** — used for authentication and account communications
- **Authentication tokens** — managed securely through our auth provider

### 1.2 Payment Information
When you subscribe, your payment is processed by **Stripe** or **PayPal**. We do **not** store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or PayPal credentials. Our payment processors handle all financial data under their own privacy policies:

We receive from payment processors:
- Subscription status (active, cancelled, expired)
- Payment method type (card, PayPal)
- Transaction dates

### 1.3 Device Information
The App may collect basic device information for functionality:
- Device model and Android version (for compatibility)
- App version

### 1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do **not** collect or transmit your terminal commands or output
- We do **not** collect or transmit files you create or store
- We do **not** collect your contacts, SMS messages, call logs, photos, or location data
- We do **not** have access to your AI conversation history (that data stays between you and the AI provider)
- We do **not** sell any user data

**The App runs locally on your device.** The AI assistants (Claude, Gemini, Codex) communicate directly between your device and their respective providers. We are not an intermediary in those communications.

### 1.5 Live Content Features
When you use live-update features (AI Briefing, What's New, MOTD, Scripts Library, Update), your device makes HTTPS requests to mobilecli.com. These requests are standard web requests that may include your IP address in server logs. We do not track which live-update features you use, and server logs are not correlated with your account.

## 2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate your account and manage your subscription
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Provide customer support
- Send important service announcements (e.g., Terms changes, security notices)
- Improve the App

We do **not** use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties.

## 3. Third-Party Services

MobileCLI integrates with third-party services. When you use these services, your data is subject to their privacy policies:

We encourage you to review these policies. We are not responsible for the data practices of third-party services.

## 4. Data Storage and Security

- Account data is stored on **Supabase** (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies
- OAuth state tokens are encrypted using **Android EncryptedSharedPreferences**
- All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
- We do not store passwords — authentication is handled via OAuth/magic link through Supabase

## 5. Data Retention

- **Account data** is retained for the duration of your account. When you delete your account, your data is deleted from our systems.
- **Payment records** may be retained by Stripe/PayPal in accordance with their policies and applicable financial regulations.
- **No terminal data** is retained because we never collect it.

## 6. Your Rights

You have the right to:
- **Access** your account data through the App's Account settings
- **Delete** your account and associated data through the App
- **Cancel** your subscription at any time
- **Request** information about what data we hold about you

To exercise these rights, use the Account settings in the App or contact us.

## 7. Children's Privacy

MobileCLI is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

## 8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated policy at mobilecli.com/privacy.md
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- Providing notice through the App
